Creative Industries Federation and Creative England are joining forces

With a shared mission to drive the creative power of the UK, to strengthen the economy, and to open up opportunities throughout the sector, we believe that we will be able to make more of a difference working together than alone. The Federation’s history of bringing together UK-wide networks and championing the sector will combine with Creative England’s significant experience uncovering, investing and growing creative businesses outside of London. The united organisation will launch in Spring 2020, following engagement with industry and other stakeholders across the UK.

The benefits of joining forces are evident and powerful. The Federation's impressive convening and advocacy role clearly complements Creative England's commitment to finding and nurturing creative talent and giving that talent an opportunity via investment and practical business support, specifically outside of London.

Our Creative Industries are not only one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy, they also enrich our national conversation, our culture. Together, Creative England and the Creative Industries Federation will become our most powerful champion yet. They’ll generate future strategies and, with partners, deliver practical interventions such as access to finance. Our creative industries are world-leading but they can also be nation building - positively benefiting every region of the UK.

This coming together will enable the creative industries to radically improve growth, skills and investment. We have some of the world’s finest creative minds, but lack of connection, access to funding and skills have hampered our ability to succeed. This is the beginning of the solution.
